Poonhill trek is one of the shortest yet most promising treks in the Annapurna region. Traversing up and down through the pleasant woodlands of magnolia, firs and rhododendron, arriving frequently at the majestic waterfalls cascading from the elevated cliffs, exploring the cultural affluence of Gurungs ethnics in the villages along the course and feasting the eyes with gradually improving views of glorious Himalayan ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and unique Fishtail are the prominent highlights of Poonhill Trek.
Ms. Linnet Bente Brix and Mr. Christensen Poul from Denmark through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel arrived to Nepal on March 19, 2013 with an aim of seven days trek to Poonhill. Poonhill trek starts at Pokhara and our visitors started their Poonhill trek on 21 March 2013. The trials on the foothills of grandiose Annapurna region where the blossoming colorful flowers in the tropical woods, hospitable cultures in the villages like Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani and the most delightful Ghandruk, showering beauties in the nature and most importantly the regal panorama of the Himalayas from different positions brought them to Poonhill. Poonhill is an exotic location at 3193m from where the most elegant views of the wide range of Himalayas including Annapurna, Tukuche, Fishtail and Dhaulagiri dominating the skyline is seeable.
Six days of trekking journey to Poonhill mesmerized our visitors and they were back to Kathmandu on March 27, 2013. They celebrated a free day at Kathmandu on 28th before departing back home on 29 March 2013.
