Explore Himalaya’s participation at SATTE, New Delhi (10-12 Feb,2012)

Explore Himalaya participated at the recently held travel & tourism exhibition, SATTE (South Asian Travel & Tourism Exchange) 2012 in India’s capital New Delhi. SATTE 2012, regarded as South Asia’s leading B2B travel and tourism trade exhibition, had over 550 exhibitors from 33 countries and 23 Indian states , including noted industry leaders from the hotels, airlines, travel, tour and tourism sector. Serving the inbound, domestic and outbound markets, the show spread over five halls at New Delhi's Pragati Maidan. Renu Choudhary –  Marketing & PR Consultant, Pushpa Gurung – Marketing Executive & Sudha Baniya – Ticketing Officer represented Explore Himalaya at the exhibition.

Nepal Conducts Sales Mission in 3 Indian Cities

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) conducted sales mission in three Indian cities of Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi from May 10 to 13. During the Sales Mission around 120 tour operators and 60 media representatives were updated and apprised about the tourism of Nepal with special focus on the offer to the Indian markets along with programs of NTY-2011. A wide range of products catering to all segments – Pilgrimage for old aged, Soft adventure for youths and leisure activities for the middle – aged were on offer. NTB announced Nepal’s government decision to implement one window policy to ease surface transportation for Indian tourist vehicles to Nepal during the mission.

Manaslu Festival

Manaslu Festival was inaugurated yesterday in Gorkha district by the Minister of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Mr. Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma. Organized by the Nubri Culture and Youth Promotion Committee , the three-day festival will showcase the culture and heritage of the region through various cultural programs, horse races, archery competition etc. The organizers are expecting more than 2,000 domestic and foreign tourists to visit the event.
