As part of the promotional campaign for Nepal tourism Year 2011, a program was organized by the Nepalese Embassy and Nepal Tourism Board on December 10th, in Stockholm, Sweden. During the program Swedish personalities and organizations who have contributed in the promotion of Nepalese culture and tourism in Sweden were felicitated. High ranking Swedish officials, summiteers, academicians, tourism entrepreneurs, travel writers, hoteliers and Nepalese and Swedish nationals attended the program. Among those felicitated were climbers who had summitted Nepalese peaks, Presidents of Swedish Alpine Club, Swedish Climbing Federation, Swedish Mountain Guide Organization and Sweden Nepal Society.
