This spring Ms. Karin Jakobsen and Mr. Nils Jensen through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel enjoyed the most delightful vacation during the Poonhill Trek. During the 10 days trip from April 18 to 27, 2013, apart from the Poonhill Trek they also allotted the time for brief sightseeing tour of Kathmandu and the luxurious mountain flight.

This low elevation trek- Poonhill trek,  is wall-to-wall with panoramic Himalayan views along the pleasant tropical vegetation and the best cultural exhibition of Gurung ethnics at the Annapurna foothills which is specially designed for the cultural aficionados during the trek like Ms. Jakobsen and Mr. Jensen. Every campsite on the trek was full of life; the visitors joined the crew and the villagers and made the merriment getting involved in the activities like dancing, singing and playing. As they visited the local schools and market they were privileged to witness the cultural horizon at these places differing a lot to the built-up cities of Nepal. During the trek they hiked through the magnificent oak and rhododendron forests as they were ascending higher to the alpine meadows that gave the stunning views of the Annapurna Range. Six Danish visitors through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel had the most wonderful vacation this spring. Beginning the trip on April 2, 2013 the enthusiastic visitors had the most popular trek of the country-Poonhill Trek, explored the natural bounties at Pokhara, came across with the rural lifestyle and culture during the mid-hills trip to Samari and also covered the cultural galleries of Kathmandu. Poonhill trek was the charm of their trip. Their Poonhill trek began on March 24, 2013 and ended on March 31, 2013. Poonhill trek is regarded as the most popular short trek of the Annapurna region. Trek to Poonhill 3193m

 

Poonhill trek is one of the shortest yet most promising treks in the Annapurna region. Traversing up and down through the pleasant woodlands of magnolia, firs and rhododendron, arriving frequently at the majestic waterfalls cascading from the elevated cliffs, exploring the cultural affluence of Gurungs ethnics in the villages along the course and feasting the eyes with gradually improving views of glorious Himalayan ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and unique Fishtail are the prominent highlights of Poonhill Trek.

Ms. Linnet Bente Brix and Mr. Christensen Poul from Denmark through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel arrived to Nepal on March 19, 2013 with an aim of seven days trek to Poonhill. Poonhill trek starts at Pokhara and our visitors started their Poonhill trek on 21 March 2013. The trials on the foothills of grandiose Annapurna region where the blossoming colorful flowers in the tropical woods, hospitable cultures in the villages like Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani and the most delightful Ghandruk, showering beauties in the nature and most importantly the regal panorama of the Himalayas from different positions brought them to Poonhill. Poonhill is an exotic location at 3193m from where the most elegant views of the wide range of Himalayas including Annapurna, Tukuche, Fishtail and Dhaulagiri dominating the skyline is seeable.

Six days of trekking journey to Poonhill mesmerized our visitors and they were back to Kathmandu on March 27, 2013. They celebrated a free day at Kathmandu on 28th before departing back home on 29 March 2013.

Ms. Fruensgaard Igne and Mr. Hansen Jesper from Denmark preferred a short and fairly challenging trek in the Annapurna region. The visitors from our sole country partner Kipling Travel had the outstanding short trek to Poonhill which covers the glorified natural beauties and the unique cultural values of the region. Their Nepal trip began on 5th February and ended on 15th February, 2013.

Ms. Igne expressed her pleasures during the trek with some beautiful lines.

At the airport we were very timely met by Sardin. He made us feel very special with the very warm welcome professional attitude and informative guidance. At every step the services of the supporting staffs were outstanding. We were very much assured that we were very well taken care of.

Our trek guide Lambabu Sherpa served us with very warming hospitality. He was professional and had good knowledge about the area. He was quite humorous at some times and made us laugh.

The meals and the hotels in the cities as well as during the trek were pretty good. The transportation and the itinerary were perfect.

Overall, it has been a fantastic experience for us to visit Nepal. Everything went very smoothly. We have been traveling individually but with all that support and comforts that characterizes a group tour, we are fully satisfied with everything.

Mr. Alban and Ms. Iben through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel arrived to Nepal on January 7, 2012. The Danish visitors during their visit to Nepal experienced the Home-stays at Nuwakot and Samari, camped a night at Sele, trekked to Ghorepani and Poonhill at Annapurna region. Their visit also encountered with the Gurung culture at Ghandruk Village.

Prior to their tour beyond the valley, they had the brief sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley on the 8th. The cultural city with numerous ancient shrines, palaces and monuments reflects the Nepalese cultural and religious history. After, the couple of days stay at a exotic Hotel Summit in the valley, they began their exploration beyond the valley.

Their trek in the mid-hills of Nuwakot, Samari and Sele ended at Dhading. Right away, the another trek began to the most popular Annapurna region. This trek is a hilarious trek with the magnificent Himalayan views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri ranges including the one and only Fishtail from the hilltop likes Ghorepani and Poonhill. The Poonhill trek also covered the ethnically cultural village of Gurung inhabitants; Ghandruk.

The glorious trek to the Annapurna region ended at its origin point, Pokhara on January 18. The Danish hearts were full with joys and amusements after witnessing the amazing landscapes settling in the high mountainous regions of Nepal. They felt spellbind at several occasions with the distinct natural and cultural wealth they encountered at the Nepalese mid-hills.

After, visiting several panoramic sites in the rural Nepal, they spent a free day at busy Kathmandu, before their departure. They wondered,around the streets of Thamel and Asan. With the memories of one of their best vacations celebrated in the mid-hills of Nepal, they departed Nepal on January 19, 2012.
