According to a news item posted on NTB’s website the Government of Nepal is offering NRS 500,000/- to any organizer holding a MICE event with more than 100 foreign participants in Nepal. The participants should enter Nepal via air. The report further says that the government would offer the cash to the organization upon submission of relevant documents as evidence within seven days of completion of the event.

Nepal Government Invites Proposals for International Flight Operation
The Government of Nepal has invited proposals from private sector companies interested in operating international flights on Class A routes. International air routes with flight duration of two hours and three and a half hours has been classified as Class A routes.The government is ready to issue permits to three international airlines, including one for cargo. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, domestic airlines with a fleet of five aircrafts and paid-up capital of Rs 500 million are eligible to apply. New companies with paid-up capital of Rs 500 million can also apply for the license. The companies are required to furnish a non-refundable deposit of Rs 50,000 and bank guarantee of Rs 5 million to apply for the license.
