Climbing Island Peak- Best suits the novice climbers

islandpeak

Island Peak 6173m, a stunning mountain in the Everest region could be climbed in just one day.  Challenges to conquer the peak best suits the novice climbers however, skilled mountaineers can enjoy to the fullest during the expedition of Island Peak.  The trial to Island Peak cross passes culturally unique Sherpa hamlets and lush vegetation to barren yet, dramatically contrast snowy and rocky landscapes dominated by towering peaks. Proper acclimatization during the trek to Island Peak and caring guidance by veteran Sherpa climbers makes you feel very special throughout the trek. On reaching the summit of Island Peak which is one of the vantage points for the close-up view of high peaks of the Everest region, climber excitement simply goes to the highest limit.

Autumn 2013, Mr. Clement Irbil and Mr. Rasmus Hansen from Denmark successfully made to the summit of Island Peak. Earlier to this, they conquered Pokhalde Peak . The climbers from our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel shared their experiences of the trek and Island Peak Expedition.

Standing on the top of Island Peak,!WOW!, the memory that would remain forever. We would rate our host 5 stars for providing us an incredible holiday in the mountains of Everest Region.

The trip to Nepal began perfectly. The city staffs of the company were professional, helpful, flexible and smooth. The hospitality we experienced was amazing. Hotel rooms and food were great.

The guide and the staffs during the trek were exceptionally good, highly experienced and helpful. We would specially thank our guides Temba Sherpa and Lhakpa. The expedition to Island Peak became easier and more interesting with their wonderful support.

Chitwan, Pokhara and Samari: Destinations to experience to wildlife, nature and rural lifestyle of Nepal

Chitwan National Park is the one of  closest wildlife reserves from Kathmandu. One hundred and twenty six kilometers from Kathmandu the park, is the home for wide diversity of plants and animals which includes endangered species like Royal Bengal Tiger, One-horned Rhino, Gangetic Dolphin and Ghariyal crocodile. The adventurous highlight at Chitwan is to experience the wild abode at its best during the Wildlife Elephant Safari. The culture of Tharu ethnic in the region is also another highlight of the park.

Unlike Chitwan, Pokhara is the city well known for its tempting natural beauties. Lakes, caves, falls, rivers and gorges are scattered throughout the city. The scenic view of Himalayas including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri flanked by the most unique virgin mountain Fishtail can be observed from different angles from different Mountain View-points in Pokhara.

Home-stays are also very popular tourist activities in Nepal. A beautiful middle hill village Samari, in the Central Nepal is a popular home-stay destination. Samari is closely located to Kathmandu. An opportunity to experience  the rural lifestyle and culture by staying in the houses of local villagers can be the best way to have insightful look into Nepalese lives.

Different locations, diverse highlights and contrasting funs, this holiday package address those who wish to travel around Nepal to see most of it. Four Danish travelers were on this trip this autumn. The guests through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel had a wonderful time here in Nepal. Mr. Daniel Fischer and Ms. Birgit Brammer said few lines on their cultural tour to Nepal and service of Explore Himalaya.

Ms. Birgit and Mr. Wilsdahl

We have several memorable memories. However, the guided hikes to the villages nearby Kathmandu as well as in Pokhara and Samari, canoeing and Elephant Safari in Chitwan and the beautiful views of mountainous landscapes from Pokhara were the most amazing parts of this trip.

Talking about your service everything was smooth, on time and very professional. All our expectations were met. Guides were kind and competent. Staffs took very good care of us and we felt secure all the time. Explore Himalaya did a great job by allocating one of your staffs to accompany us during the Election scenario in Nepal. You offered us excellent service and handling throughout the trip. Thank you so much.

Mr. and Ms. Fischer

The best memory of our trip was Wildlife Safari in Chitwan. It is one of the most amazing things we have ever done.

Your service was very nice and 100% correct. The staffs of Explore Himalaya were pleasant, welcoming and smiling. It was really good experience to travel with you guys.

Langtang Trek: Shortest approach to Himalayas

Nineteen miles north of Kathmandu, Langtang Valley nestles in the shadow of Langtang Lirung [7246m], the highest peak in the region. The trek along the valley which borders Tibet is the closest to snowy mountains from Kathmandu. After nine hours drive you get to Syabrubenshi, the trek starting point for the Langtang Valley. Following the trail upstream Bhote Koshi river through ethnic Tibeto-Tamang villages, lush vegetation and the wide spread Kyangin valley surrounded by snowy peaks from all  sides, takes you up to Kyangin at 3800 meter, where you get an opportunity to ascend Kyangjin Ri [4350m.], for 3600 panoramic view of the mountains.

Mr. John Christensen led nineteen Danish trekkers to Langtang Valley this November. Mr. John on the behalf of the group through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel wrote a few lines on the trek and Explore Himalaya’s service.

Working together with our guide Pasang Sherpa and the other staffs to accomplish the trek is the best memory of the trek. Sabin, our Tour Officer handled the group very well with the best hotel, transportation and other facilities throughout the trip.

I would recommend the fellow trekkers to simply enjoy the trek as the guides and staffs of Explore Himalaya are extremely good to make your trip in Nepal extraordinary.

ABC Trek, Trishuli Rafting and Chitwan Wildlife Safari: A perfect pacakage of Adventurous holiday

The walk along the pleasant rhododendron forests witnessing the paramount of rawness in nature, gaining the altitude above 4000m and the close-up views of Himalayan giants including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail are also the major highlights of Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Rafting in Trishuli and Wildlife Safari in Chitwan National Park add the diverse adventurous thrill to Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Chitwan National Park Wildlife Safari is considered best in Asia whereas, Trishuli rafting covers the challenges of fierce river rapids like  Snail’s nose, Teendevi, Malekhu rapid, Monkey rapid, Upset, Surprise, Monsoon, Cotton Pony, Ladies Delight, S-Bend, Highway, Monsoon and Pinball Rapid. While on the calm and tranquil spots of the river you can let go your exhaustion and enjoy the landscapes of lush vegetation, highway activities just above the ridge.

This autumn, two ladies Ms. Eva Sneppen and Ms. Josephine Gylling from Denmark were on this adventurous holiday to Nepal. The guests through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel had three short sentences to say on their trip.

Best memory of the trip, all of it.

Services of Explore Himalaya exceptionally perfect.

And the recommendation to fellow travelers- Just do it.

Everest Base Camp Trek: A challenging achievement

Everest, the world’s crown is the Nepalese pride. Myriads of adventure seekers throng to this adventurous shrine every year with the strong desire of closely viewing the mighty Everest towering beyond the sky in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Besides, the trek also highlights electrifying flight to the world’s one of the high altitude airports, Lukla 2900m. The cultural encounters in the frequent highland settlements of indigenous Sherpas, the biodiversity of floras, faunas, Himalayan wild animals and colorful birds at Sagarmatha National Park, the pleasant walk along the lush vegetation of rhododendron, firs, pines and oak forest, the panoramic views of towering Himalayan giants including Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Lobuche and many more, the visit to sacred highland monasteries including the one at Tengboche 3846m, Kalapattar 5545m, the highest cabinet meeting point and the walk on the glacier to Everest Base Camp 5357m are the major highlights of the trek.

Everest Base Camp Trek is an achievement and this autumn, the nine out of thirteen Danish trekkers through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel achieved it. Mr. Jakob Lapp who was also a group leader of said few lines on the trek after its completion.

The fantastic mountain views throughout the trek and the pleasant people living in the region were very nice. Mountains and the people of the mountains in Everest Region are very hard to forget. Both were equally amazing.

Staffs of Explore Himalaya were professionals. We had two rescue operations which were performed so swiftly that everyone was amazed. Ram, our guide did a very good job. Thanks to him and Explore Himalaya, we had a great holiday.

Annapurna Base Camp: Enchanting beauty

Annapurna Himalaya Range and the naturally blessed city Pokhara dominate the western Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts from Pokhara. The most popular trekking region of Nepal, after Everest the trek highlights beautiful landscapes, the gorgeous mountain views, and the dense vegetation of rhododendrons, bamboos and giant firs. Moreover, the unique culture in the Gurung hamlets is equally meaningful to explore. As the trek comes closer to the Annapurna Base Camp the views of the wide range of Himalayas improve with every step the trekkers move. Annapurna Conservation Area Project has the leading role in preserving the floras, faunas, wild lives, and fragile nature of the region. The conserved area includes both the Base Camps Machapucchre and Annapurna. The trek in the region is also particularly popular because the trial also takes you the famous trekking peaks of Nepal including Tent Peak, Fluted Peak and Hiunchuli.

Mr. Torben Sorensen with Ms. Lis Sorensen and Ms. Malene Houmark with Mr. Mark Schultz from Denmark through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel were overjoyed with the kind of vacation they had this autumn. Their Annapurna Base Camp Trek was fantastic. They shared their trek experience with us.

Sorensons

Annapurna Base Camp was amazing. The experience we had during the trek was wonderful.

Everything was on time. Hotels we stayed in were fine. Guide Lhakpa was friendly and was always ready to help. Staffs of Explore Himalaya were very helpful. We had a wonderful holiday.

Mark and Malene

We were spellbound with the enchanting Himalayan view from Annapurna Base Camp. Everything was perfect. Guide Dhan and the porter were both very pleasant and nice persons to be with. Annapurna Base Camp Trek was a different holiday and probably a holiday of a lifetime

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek: Annapurna and its siblings at its best

The soft trek to Ghorepani Poonhill is full with scenic Himalayan views along the dense tropical vegetation and the best cultural display of Gurung ethnics which is specially designed for the families. The itinerary slots in enough time for cultural outlook in the traditional villages dominated by the brave British Gurkha Armies, Gurungs. Every campsite on the trek is full of life; trekkers can join the crew and the villagers in fun activities like dancing, singing and playing. The trial on the trek goes through the magnificent oak and rhododendron forests and slides up to alpine meadows that offer the feast to the eyes with the stunning views of the Annapurna Range. Poonhill, itself is the destination full of amazing things. The wide range of Mountain views including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Twache and many more from Poonhill are exceedingly beautiful during the sunrise.

Ms. Melanie Morillon from Denmark through our exclusive country partner Kipling Travel had to say few lines on Poonhill Trek she had with us this autumn.

Every moment I spent in Pokhara, the trial highlights on the trek to Poonhill and the cultural and natural aspects I got to see in Tadapani and Ghandruk are the best memories of this trip.

The operation of Explore Himalaya throughout the trip was excellent and the staffs and guides were very professional.

Insightful trek from the foothills of Mt. Makalu to the Everest shadow

Ms. Inger

Ms. Inger at Hotel Marsyangdi on the day before her departure back home

This was Ms. Inger eighth visit to Nepal with Explore Himalaya and was once again a delightful experience. Ms. Inger Marie R. Arildsen from Denmark has two more plans with Explore Himalaya  in the future.  She wants to accomplish the Gokyo Trek which was unfortunately cancelled this time because of bad weather and she also wants to trek to the Restricted Area in the Western Nepal. This autumn, she completed the Tumlingtar- Gokyo-Jiri Trek with Explore Himalaya. She shared her experience of the trek before she flew back home.

A landscape on the trek trail joining two Himlayan giants; Everest and Makalu

EH: How was your meeting and handling in the airport?

Ms. Inger: Excellent

EH: How was your trek?

Ms. Inger: Excellent again. I didn’t get a chance to go to Gokyo due to snowstorm. Or else, everything was great. Acclimatization was perfect. The combination of the middle hills and the mountains was splendid. You get good and broad pictures of Nepal and the people. Nepal is so much more than the treks around North of Lukla.

A breathtaking view from the breakfast table

EH: How was your accommodation during the trek?

Ms. Inger: Fine. Basic in Tumlingtar region, but exactly as promised.

EH: How was your hotel in Kathmandu?

Ms. Inger: Excellent. I like Hotel Marsyangdi.

Helicopters in the Himalayas are other options for Mountain view

EH: What do you have to say about your guide, Mekh?

Ms. Inger: Mekh did an excellent job. He is very sympathetic, honest, responsible and easy-going. He is a smiling person and gets easily into contact with the local people. To me it was important that guide also can handle quietness and can walk for long without talking. Mekh was able to do that. But, also he was a good talker when necessary and wanted. I would welcome to have Mekh as a guide again. I felt very safe trekking with him.

guide-porter

Short rest, Guide Mekh in green Explore Himalaya T-shirt and porter Madan

EH: A porter accompanies you on a trek, are you satisfied with his service?

Ms. Inger: Porter, Madan was very good on the first part of the trek, due to his knowledge of the places around Tumlingtar. But he was bit old and could had problems, if we had managed to get all the way to Gokyo. However, Mekh handled and took care of both of us very well.

EH: How was your itinerary?

Ms. Inger: On the long trek there must be room for changes which we had very well.  Some days were a bit long and some little short. And the itinerary could not take snowstorm into account.

Snow says, “Now it is my turn to sit.”

EH: Are you satisfied with our services?

Ms. Inger: Absolutely, I am. That is why; I have picked Kipling Travel and Explore Himalaya as my travel partner for eight consecutive times. I am very happy.

EH: Thank you so much the wonderful comments.

Ms. Inger: You are welcome.
