A group of a Dutch and 16 Danish trekkers started their gap trek to Everest Base Camp from Lukla on October 6, 2012. The group left no single opportunity to grab the best moments in the Himalayas. They had fun and high altitude experience. They majestic views of the Mega Mountains in the Everest region no doubt encouraged them to ascend to more height.

The traditional Sherpa villages and the hospitality of the inhabitants overwhelmed them. Sometimes, they camped for the night and other times they enjoyed the comforts of the high altitude lodges. They took time to acclimatize in high altitudes. They visited hospital at Khumjung and the monastery at Pangboche on the way.

Their informative guide Sirdar Ramkaji Tamang toured them very thoroughly around Amadablam 4570m, Everest Base Camp 5364m, Gorakshep5164m, Kalapattar 5545m. They group enjoyed the high route to Gorakshep and Kalapattar and the Everest view from its base camp the most. The trek with lots of people enjoying, acclimatizing, sometimes struggling however, came to an end on October 20 at Lukla.
