The pilgrimage site of Gosainkunda will soon be connected to Dhunche via cable car. Inaugurating the Gosainkunda-Langtang Festival in Rasuwa district, Nepalese prime minister Jhala Nath Khanal said that the project will receive as much help as possible from the government. The installation and operation of the cable car service will be carried out with the partnership of the government and private sector, said the PM.
Many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims take an ardous trek to Gosainkunda Lake (situated at an elevation of 4500 meters) every year during the full moon festival of Janai Purnima.
