Thailand’s national airline, Thai Airways is celebrating the 42nd anniversary of its operation in Nepal this year. To mark the occasion top ten passenger sales agents and five cargo agents in Nepal were awarded. Thai Airways had first launched its Bangkok – Kathmandu flights in the year 1968.
Thai Airways to recreate Nostalgic First Flight
As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration , Thai Airways is going to recreate its historic first flight on the Bangkok – Hong Kong route on 1st May 2010, with a special in-flight menu, souvenirs, and onboard activities. Passengers taking this nostalgic trip will be flown on a Boeing 747-400 repainted in the original livery design. The cabin crew will also be outfitted in uniforms from that period.
The airline is offering a special Royal Orchid Holidays package tour for customers wishing to experience this event. Anniversary souvenirs include Commemorative Postage Stamps and the original-designed THAI boarding pass.
