Unbeatable snowman trek is meant for trekkers who are hundred percent physically and mentally fit. Being strenuous in nature, plenty of time has been allocated for acclimatization; the scenic trail leads to maximum altitude of 5400m at Rinchenzoe pass after making several ascents and descents past wide range of ecosystems extending from rugged peaks to rich forests of pine, fir, juniper and rhododendron.
From meandering past yak pastures in Jangothang, exploring the wide open valley and summer grazing ground of Limithang, catching majestic views of Lunana, Chomolhari and Jichu Drake from Tsimo la pass at an altitude of 4700 meters, crossing by the sacred lake called Umtsho, enjoying the warm hospitality of Laya people to spotting a summer feeding ground for the rare Takins (national animal of Bhutan) in Tsharijathang, the different trekking routes as an ensemble offer an interesting challenge to trekkers. If you get lucky, besides takin you may also get to spot other rare species like snow leopard, bharal, blue sheep etc. Eventually, the trek climaxes with Punakha sightseeing tour.
