Itinerary

Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is itself an exciting and memorable experience as exotic panoramic view of snow-capped Himalayan peaks sprawls before you. You meet you at airport and escort you to your hotel.

After the early morning breakfast, you travel along the exotic locales of Kathmandu, where more diversified cultural settings in the valley welcome you. A day tour of the valley will take you to Boudhanath, where you will grab an opportunity for the insightful peep into the invaluable culture attached to Buddhism. This may make you feel like you have just been on a spiritual journey. Boudhanath is one of the largest dome-shaped stupas in the country where the practices of Buddhism can be observed at its best. Then it continues to Pashupatinath, the major Hindu shrine with countless temples dedicated to different Hindu deities within its widespread area. However, the main temple Pashupatinath is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Destroyer - Shiva dwells here as protector of animal kinds as per the myth. A final destination to explore is Patan Durbar Square, where Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor temple, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple and many other places of Patan, will unveil before you as an open museum showcasing intricately carved windows, intrinsic roof struts, statues of gods and goddesses, temples designed in pagoda style with sensual carvings and repose metalwork facades and many other exquisite facets.

You take a 4 hours’ drive from Kathmandu early in the morning and arrive at Trishuli. You move into your beach hut and get ready for the day’s activities. After an early lunch you go rafting in the mighty Trishuli River. You punch some rapids like Ladies Delight, Monsoon, Upset and Surprise. After returning to your resort, you have a snack and in the late afternoon play beach volleyball or just relax in the resort's lounge.

After breakfast you get equipped for canyoning. You walk together with your guide, approx. 1½ hour, up into the hills. As you make your way to Change canyon, you pass local villages and farms. After reaching the top of the hill you enter the canyon. You walk and slide through the creek, through the dense jungle until all of a sudden you reach the top of a 35 meter waterfall! You abseil down a series of bigger waterfalls and jump and slide in the smaller ones. This is a fantastic thrill! You have a picnic lunch on the way down the canyon. In the afternoon you return to the Beach resort for some rest and dinner.

Today you try out white water kayak. The level of kayaking is adjusted according to your previous experience. For the beginner the day is done as an introduction to kayaking. You start with learning basic paddling and rescue techniques. The day ends with a bit of river running. For the kayaker with previous experience, you run a section of the river suitable for your level. For someone not wanting to kayak this day can also be done as a second day of rafting, there is also an option to take a rest day or go for a hike in the surroundings.

Today you drive to Chitwan National Park! Chitwan National Park has been enlisted in natural World Heritage Site. The park offers a unique and exceptional wildlife experience, being the home to several rare species, in particular, the one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, bear, wild boar, deer, bison, crocodiles etc. After lunch you visit elephant-breeding center where you meet elephant babies and learn more about our new best friends. You stay the night at the one of the lodges.

You surrender to the pure pleasure of jungle activities. Safari excursion includes wildlife safari, jeep safari, canoeing and bird watching. Unlike African animals, those in Chitwan tend to be rather solitary and shy, but the chances of sightseeing these are very high owing to the expertise and experiences of experienced guides. Today you continue to explore the park in jeep, and go for a few hours safari, looking for rhinos, tigers, elephants, wild boars and the masses of beautiful birds living here. In the evening you experience a cultural program.

After delicious breakfast, you drive back to Kathmandu. You have two options for the next day's biking activity or bungee jumping. If you choose biking you head towards Nagarkot and if you want to bungee you head towards Dhulikhel. Nagarkot, at 2100 m is a hill resort located 30 km away from Kathmandu. From here you get breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Manaslu and Gauri Shankar. Nagarkot accommodates finest of resorts, hotels, restaurants and cafes. You will spend your night at one of the best resorts or hotels in Nagarkot. In the evening, you can catch the most magnificent sunset view. Dhulikhel (1550m) is also popular for the wonderful Himlayan vistas. Located on Arniko highway that leads to Tibet, Dhulikhel has several comfortable resorts and hotels.

Cycling (Option 1): You get up early in the morning to catch a beautiful dawn, the golden sunlight spreading and lighting up the snowy Himalayan peaks. After a leisurely breakfast you commence your biking adventure along the leisurely trail to Dhulikhel through interesting Nepali countryside. As you approach Dhulikhel, you pass through Newari settlements, lush vegetation and rich birdlife. Dhulikhel covers a larger area than Nagarkot and houses Newari settlements in majority. En route, you can even interact with local people and get enlightened on historical and cultural aspects. On arrival at Dhulikhel you board the vehicle and drive to Kathmandu. Bungee Jumping (Option 2): You take a drive of around 2 and a half hrs towards the Tibetan border and reach 'The Last Resort', a perfect place for exciting adventures. The resort is located on top of a green river gorge and is connected to the main road by a metal suspension bridge 166 meters long and 160 meters high. Bungee jumping from here is the ultimate adrenaline rush as this is one of the longest free-falls in the world. Bungee jumping from a 160 meters high bridge suspended over a tropical gorge will get your adrenaline pumping and have you screaming for more.

A day set aside for independent activities such as exploring the town on your own, souvenir hunting or simply relaxing at hotel.

Transfer to the airport in time to catch your flight home.

The days are warm and the displays of wildflowers, such as rhododendrons, are spectacular at this time of year.

Summer in Nepal, from June to September, is the monsoon season. Trekking/Rafting/Biking at this time of year is generally difficult and uncomfortable as the weather is hot and it rains almost every day. Rivers become high, the trails become muddy and are often leech-infested and the mountains are usually obscured by cloud.
