The Government of Nepal has invited proposals from private sector companies interested in operating international flights on Class A routes. International air routes with flight duration of two hours and three and a half hours has been classified as Class A routes.The government is ready to issue permits to three international airlines, including one for cargo. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, domestic airlines with a fleet of five aircrafts and paid-up capital of Rs 500 million are eligible to apply. New companies with paid-up capital of Rs 500 million can also apply for the license. The companies are required to furnish a non-refundable deposit of Rs 50,000 and bank guarantee of Rs 5 million to apply for the license.
