Trek to Ghandruk: Go meet the families of brave Gurkha soilders

Fox family from Britain didn’t know the world could be so excitingly beautiful before their tour to Nepal.  Go meet Gurungs! They will make you feel there are no foreign lands. The tour took the Fox family to Ghandruk; the capital of Gurung clan who dominate the section of  world class warriors in British Gurkha Army. The Fox family trekked light as the trial to Ghandruk is jam-packed with Hotel chain of Ker and Downey  offering appreciable food and accommodation . Trek to Ghandruk not only unfolds the alluring trial choke full with lush vegetation, panoramic views of Himalayan giants and cultural treasures at traditional Gurung hamlets, it also brings the travelers to the different world with different air where there is no room for boredom. Typical slate roofed houses, deep gorge and valley, densely wooded rolling hills and the best part is the panoramic view of Mt. Fishtail flanked by Annapurna, Gangapurna and Huinchuli are ubiquitous in Ghandruk. The culture of hospitality blended with the unerringly preserved ancient practices makes Ghandruk a must visit corner of the planet Earth.

The family wanted something different out of the trip. So, they flew to the western end of Nepal to explore the wild sides in Bardia National Park. Covering an area of 968 km2 (374 sq mi), it is the largest and most pristine wild area in Nepal’s Terai, neighboring the eastern bank of the Karnali River in the Bardiya District. The home for elusive Royal Bengal Tigers and One-horned Rhino and rarely spotted Gangetic Dolphin, the park privileged them with experience of electrifying wildlife safari. Before their departure back home the cultural tours around the 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley completed their tour offering them at least a part of  Nepal’s every prime highlight.
