Suman Pandey

President
Mr. Suman Bikram Pandey, is the Group Chairman of Explore Himalaya Group. He is the founder of this Company having been involved since the establishment of the Company in 1997. He is a dynamic and enterprising Tourism professional with over 30 years of experience in the Nepalese Tourism industry. Starting young he has transformed the tourism landscape in Nepal with the use of technology, innovation, niche events, and sustainable practices. Managing over 15 businesses under his portfolio, he is currently the Secretary/ Treasurer of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). His leadership in PATA resulted in initiating the first Himalayan Travel Mart in 2017, which is now the most prominent travel event of Nepal. Along with this, he has also served in diverse areas of Tourism some of which are mentioned below: 1. Himalaya Expeditions Inc. – Founder General Manager 1988-1996 2. Explore Himalaya Travel Inc.- Founder and President 1997- Current 3. Fishtail Air Helicopters – CEO & BOD 2006-2020 – Currently in BOD 4. Summit Air – BOD 2013- Current 5. Trekking Agents Association of Nepal(TAAN)- President- 2 Years( plus 6 years as General Secretary and Vice President) 2. Airline Operators Association of Nepal(AOAN)- General Secretary for 7 years 3. Pacific Asia Travel Association( PATA) Nepal Chapter- Chairman for 5 years 4. Pacific Asia Travel Association( PATA Headquarter)- Secretary and Treasurer, currently serving in the third year. Recently Mr. Suman Pandey was bestowed with the Janseva Shree by the Rt. Hon. President of Nepal for his formidable contribution to the tourism sector of Nepal. The Jana Sewa Shree is one of the highest civilian awards of Nepal and is conferred to personalities making significant contributions to the country from various sectors.

Pragya Pandey

Vice President
As Vice President of Explore Himalaya, Pragya Pandey plays a key role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction. With a focus on oversight and long-term vision, she provides thoughtful support across various facets of the company’s development. Her calm leadership presence and supervisory contributions continue to add value to the team, helping maintain the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and responsible travel.

Anuj Pandey

Managing Director
Anuj Pandey, a young and visionary personality, is responsible for leading the company through innovation and creativity. He joined Explore Himalaya in 2011 as a Sales and Marketing Executive. However, he has come a long way from his initial days. Now, his leadership fuels the team with his special expertise in Product Development, Networking and Sustainable Tourism. He is a Masters’ degree graduate in Innovation & Tourism Management from Fachhochschule Salzburg (2013-2015) with his dissertation research on “Making Adventure Tourism Sustainable- A case study of Everest area” and Bachelors degree in Commerce (Honors) from Delhi University (2008- 2011). In addition to impressive academics, he is also trained in German Language Course (A2) from Deutsche Studio, Austria; International Fares and Ticketing Training Conducted by BARN Tour Operations Training from Himalaya Academy of Travel & Tourism; Sustainability for Tour Operators jointly conducted by CBI, SNV- Nepal, TAAN, The Great Himalayan Trail, Travelife and UKaid; Management Training conducted by CBI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and Explore the Art of Storytelling conducted by PATA. As an avid traveler and adventurer himself, he reached Annapurna Base Camp at the age of 14. His field experience includes leading special charity and medical groups to Everest Base Camp, Manasalu Circuit, Annapurna area and Kanchanjunga region. He has also travelled extensively outside Nepal including Thailand, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain, Belgium, Portugal; and Germany (ITB–Berlin) and United Kingdom (WTM-London). Outside office, he enjoys biking and playing basketball.

Ratindra Singh

CEO & Sustainability Co-ordinator
With over 20 years experience in tourism, hospitality, teaching and training in Nepal and abroad, Ratindra Singh specializes in in diverse fields. In this time he has moved and transformed people, teams and organizations to reach their goals. This is achieved by renewed efficiency, building of trust and opening of communications among the engaged teams. Having worked across industries in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, Retail, BPO, Real Estate and Education he has also run many short and long term training programs. His accomplishments and expertise include: • Creating and executing SOPs • Training covering various industries • Covering many modules and using contemporary methods of training Coming from a tourism and hospitality background his interests include travelling, reading and running.

Sudip Thapa

Sales Officer
Sudip Thapa joined Explore Himalaya in 2014. With over a decade of experience in travel planning and customer service, he has consistently helped clients organize everything from family vacations and school trips to adventurous treks and expeditions tailored to their preferences. His goal is always to create unforgettable travel experiences. With a strong sense of dedication, Sudip has earned the trust of both international agents and individual travelers. He actively explores new destinations across Nepal to enhance the travel experiences offered to clients. Looking ahead, he remains enthusiastic about the future of travel and is eager to embrace new challenges while continuing to provide exceptional service.

Pratik Bahadur Khatri

Marketing Manager
Pratik Bahadur Khatri is currently a Marketing Manager at Explore Himalaya Travel & Adventure, and has a well-established record in adventure tourism, mountaineering, trekking, and tourism education. His extensive experience in the Himalayan region and in adventure operations enables him to combine practical knowledge with strategic marketing and destination promotion. His professional interests include trekking, mountaineering, risk management, mountain safety, adventure tourism, and sustainable tourism development; he has also participated in academic and professional training through his association with the Alpine Sports Federation Nepal and adventure tourism education. At EHTA, Pratik is in charge of website content, travel and tour packages, blogs, and social media communication, and he helps present Nepal’s Himalayan experiences to tourists worldwide. Because of his enthusiasm for the mountains and his knowledge of adventure tourism and digital communication, Pratik supports EHTA’s dedication to offering genuine, responsible, and memorable Himalayan experiences.

Raskin Shrestha

IT Manager
Raskin Shrestha brings a decade of experience in Information Technology and digital marketing to his role at Explore Himalaya. Holding an MBA in Project Management and Marketing Raskin Shrestha helps manage the company's digital operations. Maintaining a focus on strategic IT tasks Raskin Shrestha handles website administration, SEO, server optimization and digital portfolio management for both Explore Himalaya and Everest Skydive. Proficient in both systems and creative content strategy Raskin Shrestha also manages paid campaigns and takes a collaborative approach to team leadership. Raskin Shrestha's dedication to the tourism industry, attention to detail and technical knowledge consistently support the team ensuring our adventures can be seamlessly shared with travelers, around the world.

Deputy General Manager
Joined EH in 2005 and has been serving ever since with his exceptional service skills in meeting the needs of travelers beyond expectation. Kedar Khadka has been an integral part of Explore Himalaya since 2005, bringing two decades of experience in the travel and adventure industry. His deep understanding of traveler expectations, combined with his exceptional service skills, has made him a key figure in delivering seamless and memorable experiences. With a strong commitment to excellence, Kedar consistently goes beyond expectations to meet the diverse needs of travelers, ensuring they receive top-tier service and support throughout their journey. Bharat Raj Puri

Operations Manager
Since joining Explore Himalaya in September 2008, Bharat Puri has been a key figure in tour leading and ground handling, ensuring seamless experiences for travelers. He plays a vital role in managing Everest Skydive and Pokhara Skydive, overseeing on-ground operations and ensuring smooth execution of these world-class adventures. With expertise in ticketing and overall tour management, Bharat ensures that every aspect of a journey runs flawlessly. His hands-on approach, deep industry knowledge, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to Explore Himalaya’s adventure and travel operations.

Manoj Thapa

Logistics Manager
Mr. Manoj Thapa has been an integral part of our team since August 2000, bringing over two decades of expertise in logistics management. His extensive experience and meticulous planning ensure the seamless execution of multiple group trips and events, including high-profile adventures like the Pokhara Skydive. His dedication and skill have been instrumental in the success of our clients' journeys, making every expedition smooth and hassle-free.

Prashant Kc

Senior Tour Officer
Mr. Prashant KC joined Explore Himalaya in 2014 as a Sales & Marketing intern and has since grown into his current role as Senior Tour Officer. With a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, he has developed a deep passion for trekking, camping, biking, and mountaineering. Prashant is a certified tour guide from NATHM, has completed First Aid Training at CIWEC Hospital, and is a Certified Travelife Sustainability Manager. His extensive field experience includes leading trips across Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Dolpo, Mustang, and Pachpokhari, ensuring memorable and well-organized adventures for travelers. He has also played a key role in special group expeditions, including leading the Eye Project for the IMR group in various regions of Nepal, showcasing his expertise in handling impactful travel experiences.

Sandip Masrangie Magar

Tour Officer
Sandip Masrangie Magar joined Explore Himalaya in 2022 and currently serves as a dedicated Tour Officer. With a strong enthusiasm for outdoor adventures and sustainable tourism, Sandip has quickly proven himself as a reliable and passionate member of the team. His trekking experience spans some of Nepal’s most iconic and rugged trails, including the Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and Gauri Shankar Conservation Area regions. In 2023, Sandip successfully completed the Travelife Sustainability Management training course, earning the title of Travelife Sustainability Manager. Sandip’s on-ground knowledge, paired with his dedication to delivering safe, enriching, and environmentally conscious experiences, allows him to guide travelers through Nepal’s diverse landscapes with confidence and care. As he continues to grow in his role, Sandip remains focused on ensuring each journey is both memorable and meaningful for every guest

Suman Shrestha

Accounts Manager
Suman Shrestha has been with Explore Himalaya since 2009, serving as a key figure in the company’s financial management. As Senior Accountant, he handles company's tax compliances, daily accounting operations and prepare MIS report to support financial planning for Explore HImalaya & its subsidiaries. Proficient in Tally and other accounting tools, Suman ensures accurate and efficient financial operations across multiple business units. His long-standing commitment, attention to detail, and system knowledge make him an indispensable part of the finance team.

Ramesh Dahal

Account Officer
Ramesh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies. In his role as an accountant, Ramesh leverages his strong communication skills and organizational abilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient office operations. He enjoys reading and writing, which not only enriches his knowledge but also enhances his communication skills. His other passion- Photography allows him to capture the beauty of the world around him. He enjoys cooking and exploring new recipes which is a delightful way to express his creativity. He also has a keen interest in art and drawing, which provides a wonderful outlet for self-expression. Traveling is also a significant passion of his, which he believes broadens his horizons and offers new perspectives. Ramesh believes that a well-rounded individual is better equipped to contribute to a team and adapt to various challenge and looks forward to the journey ahead and to make a lasting impact in his professional and personal life.

Niranjan Nepali

Account Officer
Niranjan Nepali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and works as an accountant, focusing on accurate financial reporting and efficient office operations. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and writing, which help him improve his communication skills, as well as art and drawing for creative expression. Traveling broadens his horizons and inspires new perspectives. Niranjan believes in continuous self-improvement and contributing meaningfully in both personal and professional life.

Marshal Buddha Ghale

Senior Driver
Marshal Buddha Ghale is one of Explore Himalaya’s most experienced drivers, specializing in pickups and logistics vehicles, especially the Toyota Hilux. With extensive knowledge of Nepal’s rugged terrains, he ensures safe and efficient travel for both passengers and cargo. Reliable and composed under pressure, Marshal is known for his precision and adaptability, making him a vital member of the operations team.

Roshan Tamang

Senior Driver
Roshan Tamang has been a valued member of Explore Himalaya for over 15 years, bringing with him extensive experience in safe and comfortable road travel. As a Senior Driver, he handles tourist sedans and other travel vehicles with precision, ensuring every journey is smooth, timely, and reliable. Friendly, fun to be around, and always ready to help, Roshan is admired not just for his driving skills but also for his warm personality. Whether navigating bustling city routes or remote mountain roads, his dependable driving and approachable nature make him a trusted and well-liked companion for travelers across Nepal.

Purshottam Bohara
