Tender Lives Lighted - Update on the Each One, Teach One Project
Recently I along with my family visited our ancestral home in Nuwakot. Our family home, a large and ancient building, which my grandfather built, had taken on a pleasing look after the renovation. Of course, the building has retained its old world charm but the modern amenities which has been fitted with, made our stay comfortable and easy. In fact, I am ready to welcome any guest or visitor who wish to visit Nuwakot to stay at my ancestral home.
In Nuwakot, I got the chance to meet the children whose education has been sponsored by our Each One, Teach One Project. The children had come along with their guardians and parents. As I saw the bright and eager faces of these children, I realized how little it takes to make a difference in these children's lives.
All of them expressed their gratitude to the generous sponsors. Among the 16 sponsored children (Prabina Acharya, Rama Nepal and Dipesh Nepal) could not come for a visit. But I assure their sponsors that an update on their progress will soon be posted. Here is a detailed report on each child's progress.

Each One – Teach One in 2008
We extend our gratitude to all the respective country co-ordinators and to the sponsors for taking responsibility of the needy and deprived children of Nepal through our project “Each One Teach One”. We are very proud to continue Each One Teach One to its second year with the help of the valued co-ordinators as well as the sponsors.
In the first year of Each One Teach One, we had included those children who are conflict affected. This year we have 16 more children. In our search for conflict affected children with weak economic background, we received many requests and applications from children belonging to under privileged and marginalized group of society. Therefore, from this year we have decided to look for sponsors for children from the needy and marginalized group. However, our first priority shall always be to the conflict affected children.
